Examiners Dilla Patrick and Sarah Basford had a long day when 10 candidates came forward to sit their Ride Leader examination. In addition, Marissa Connelly completed the units she needed to add to her stage 2 examination to gain her Ride Leader and is going to work part time at Crieff when required.
Candidates travelled from the island of Tiree, Tain, Kincraig, Morar and Argyll to join local candidates who did not have to get out of bed so early. We were delighted when all candidates passed their exams which is a record as we always have one or two who have to resit. Well done everyone and thank you to our examiners who worked their socks off to complete the timetable before darkness fell.
The last group stretch their legs before dismounting at the end of a very long day.

Congratulations to the following candidates:
Janis MacArthur and Julie MacInnes from the Tiree Trekking Centre who had to endure a ferry trip and a long drive to reach Crieff. Sitting exams from the Islands is not easy and it takes a lot of organising and determination to carry it off, not to mention the overnights and arranging cover at home.
Shelagh Sharman and Kathleen Opdeweegh from Silver Sands Trekking Centre up in Morar. Another long drive and overnight as the exams start at 8.30am
Aimee Patience from Highlands Unbridled in Tain. She could probably sleep on the long road home as she was not driving but it makes it a very long day when you finish so late.
Eilidh Cadden from Alvie Stables in Kingcraig. Eilidh had expected to sit her exam earlier in the year but unfortunately we had to cancel due to the dates being unsuitable for most candidates. She was very happy to receive her certificate and was going off to work as an Elf over the Christmas season as the centre has wound down for winter.
Aime Latona is going to join Wilder Ways for the 2018 season and is looking forward to a summer of adventure riding in some of the most scenic areas in Scotland. Enjoy.
Alice MacLennan from Crieff Hydro Stables. Alice is the newest member of the Hydro stable staff and is glad to have her first exam under her belt.
Emma Finander and Abby Peters are both volunteers from Crieff Hydro stables and wanted to sit their exam to enable them to be more useful round the yard. Well done girls on coming forward and passing your exams.

Not all candidates appear on the group photograph as some had gone off to see to horses.
